The calculation uses the official fees published by the EPO and the national offices as of 1 June 2023; actual amounts may differ after fee increases and exchange-rate changes. Renewal fees due before grant are paid to the EPO in both systems, so we left them out. A Unitary Patent also saves on national validation costs, which are not included here.
